Codename momentum
A downloadable game for Windows
What is this?
This prototype explores movement speed as the core of the gameplay experience. The goal was to make movement feel satisfying, readable, and rewarding through visual feedback, shooting mechanics and overall feeling.
The project started as an concept around momentum and player feedback. During concentric design, the focus shifted toward creating a gameplay loop where speed affects how combat feels.
As your movement speed increases:
- Visual effects become more intense
- Camera feedback becomes stronger
- Movement feels riskier and more rewarding
- Shooting becomes part of the movement flow
The prototype went through multiple rounds of brainstorming, playtesting, and iteration.
